Last weekend I photographed JME and Linda's wedding in beautiful Newfoundland. The ceremony was held at a church in Bonavista and the reception at the amazing Fisher's Loft Inn.
It was my and many of the other guests first time in Newfoundland and I think it's safe to say we all had an incredible time. The night before the wedding we a great dinner at the Inn and then experienced something I'll never forget. The locals decided we needed to try out a few things to really get an idea of what it is to be a true Newfoundlander. They fed us "Newfie" steak, a shot of Screech and then proceeded to pass around a Cod for us all to kiss. After all the laughter and chaos we received our very official "Screeching In" certificate.
The day of the wedding was a bit cold and wet, but that didn't stop anyone from having a good time. I don't think I've ever seen a group that size all have that much fun. Everything involved with the wedding seemed to be kept quite simple, but all of those simple things put together produced a spectacular wedding. I've never eaten that well at wedding before and wouldn't be surprised if I never top it (all I have to say is, "scrunchins"!). I've heard that "Newfies" are the nicest people around, and I can't say I have an argument against that.

You should bill yourself as the cross-canada wedding photographer...from Vancouver Island to the prairies to the Rock. Nice pics, especially the one of Fin kissing the fish with a rock star pose.
Great shots, Ben! Way to make me look cool while kissing a dead fish.
